RapidPlan 2.7 Release Notes

RapidPlan 2.7 release focuses on performance improvements, and bug fixes designed to enhance user experience and improve overall performance, especially for dynamic applications using ‘planning moves.’

 

RapidPlan Create Changes

  • Manual Routes no longer behind a feature flag

  • Valid Auto-connects are not automatically regenerated during validation

  • Performance Improvements in RPC.

    • Opening the Auto-connect dialog and switching tabs in the dialogs is now much faster.

    • Responsiveness of the RPC canvas when selecting objects in the scene significantly improved.

    • Deleting, adding and updating manual connections, especially in large projects, is now much faster.

RapidPlan Control Changes

Communication

ASCII API

  • Added revert_to_roadmap option for the move command move_type: planning moves. This was the default behavior up until 2.6. From 2.7 onwards, the default behavior if this option is not present, or if it is present and set to false, will be to plan from scratch, ignoring the roadmap.

PROFINET

  • Significant latency reduction in 2.7 vs 2.6
