RapidPlan 2.7 release focuses on performance improvements, and bug fixes designed to enhance user experience and improve overall performance, especially for dynamic applications using ‘planning moves.’

RapidPlan Create Changes

  • Manual Routes no longer behind a feature flag

  • Valid Auto-connects are not automatically regenerated during validation

  • Performance Improvements in RPC.

    • Opening the Auto-connect dialog and switching tabs in the dialogs is now much faster.

    • Responsiveness of the RPC canvas when selecting objects in the scene significantly improved.

    • Deleting, adding and updating manual connections, especially in large projects, is now much faster.

  • Significant latency reduction in 2.7 vs 2.6

Control Panel

  • Support for RapidSense Robots UI, enabling users to be able to assign a robot and a target to a sensor for calibration

Motion Planning Changes

  • move_type: planning will have decreased planning latency compared to 2.6, especially when using the DSM and tcp-constraints"
